– from the A400 Airbus and NH90 Helicopter, the Eurofighter Typhoon, Saab Gripen, and F16 to European submarines and onshore platforms.
For decades, Rohde & Schwarz UK has worked closely with the Ministry of Defence, the Royal Navy, the British Services, and NATO, and has a track record in fulfilling sensitive customer projects. We are used to providing product related advice, installation, training, logistics and servicing for the extended lifetimes common to Aerospace & Defence equipment. One such project is the recent upgrade to the high frequency communication system aboard the Royal Navy vessel, HMS Clyde. Rohde & Schwarz UK experts developed a custom upgrade and will provide ongoing support and servicing capabilities until at least 2012.
The Aerospace and Defence sectors rely upon Rohde & Schwarz test and measurement equipment, such as our network analysers, spectrum analysers and signal generators. With an operational life of several decades, many systems require test equipment that is capable of supporting product cycles of ten years or more. Not only does Rohde & Schwarz provide extended support for its test equipment, but many of its latest instruments are capable of emulating their legacy counterparts, including those from other vendors. For example, Rohde & Schwarz’ network and spectrum analysers can fully emulate most legacy HP models, and for those that are not yet fully supported, or for customers with specific requirements, a turnkey service is available to ensure full compatibility is achieved.
