Rohde & Schwarz expands development and production activities in Asia
Singapore/Munich, Aug 06, 2010 - In line with its strategy to enhance its global footprint,

For this reason, Rohde & Schwarz started up development some years ago by hiring young talents and cooperating with local universities in Asia to develop products for the Asian market. Now, to bring about greater synergy between development and production, the company will also develop and produce instruments locally for the worldwide market. "This is, according to experience, advantageous for a high-tech company such as ours, and it’s something we’ve done in Germany ever since Rohde & Schwarzwas founded," said Fleischmann.
Rohde & Schwarz has a global presence and a dedicated service network in over 70 countries around the world, including 14 countries in Asia. For more than 13 years, RSSAC in Singapore has been active as a system house for the Asian market. It has developed more than 2000 systems worth several hundred millions euro. The systems are installed, supported and serviced in Asia.
The new Rohde & Schwarz Asia will be headed by Dr Lim Boon Huat, formerly Managing Director of Rohde & Schwarz Systems & Communications Asia.
Sales, service and support in Asia/Pacific, and the support of the regional offices, will remain the responsibility of Rohde & Schwarz Regional Headquarters in Singapore under the direction of
