Probes
Scope of the Art
Passive probes
Passive probes are suited for general measurements on low-frequency signals with less stringent accuracy requirements. A passive probe for each oscilloscope channel is included as standard equipment (RTx-ZP10). Passiv high-voltage probes are required for voltages above 400 V.

Active probes
Active probes are required whenever the load on the device under test must be low, or when the measurement signal contains high-frequency components that should not be distorted. Even signals in the kilohertz range can contain high-frequency components of well over 100 MHz on their edges. Rohde & Schwarz offers an entire family of high-quality active single-ended and differential probes.
